Indoor golf facility in, Carlyle & Co. out at Northgate

The N&O and Herald-Sun both reported this week that KiS Country Club and Golf Academy would open later this year in Northgate Mall on the plaza, in the space occupied recently by the Halloween Express/Christmas Express store. KiS operates indoor golf training and simulation centers, including a location at the Concord Mills shopping center near Charlotte.

Meanwhile, the Carlyle & Co. jewelry store in the center of the mall closed shortly after the holidays, referring shoppers back to their Southpoint or Crabtree Valley locations.

Still, good to see some development happening at Northgate's new outdoor plaza, which has been looking for tenants to join the Marble Slab Creamery and stadium-seating theater since construction finished in late 2006.
