@Cormoran: If killing socialists and communists or sending them to concentration camps means that you're not "left-wing", then I guess Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin were not "left-wing" either. You say that "The idea the Nazis were leftist is not supported by any known historian." Possibly because serious historians have more nuanced views. Consider this from Duke Professor Claudia Koonz's book, The Nazi Conscience: Nazi ideology "also defined good and evil, condemning self-interest as immoral and enshrining altruism as virtuous. Binding ethnic comrades (Volksgenossen) to their ancestors and descendants, Nazi ideals embedded the individual within the collective well-being of the nation. . . They appealed not so much to malevolence as to ideas of health, hygiene, and progress in their campaign to elicit compliance with policies that might otherwise have been seen as cruel and violent. Mobilizing citizens in a modern and enlightened nation, Nazi rule relied not only on repression but also on an appeal to communal ideals of civic improvement. In a vibrant public culture founded on self-denial and collective revival, ethnic Germans were exhorted to expunge citizens deemed alien and to ally themselves only with people sanctioned as racially valuable. The road to Auschwitz was paved with righteousness."

The rest of her book is devoted to dissecting the complexity of the appeal that the Nazis made to Germans. But I doubt you're interested in that. You seem chiefly interested in deploying a scarecrow syllogism to frighten ideological birdbrains: Republicans are right-wing, Nazis are right-wing, therefore Republicans are Nazis. (Needless to say, the opposite formula, Democrats are left-wing, Nazis are left-wing, therefore Democrats are Nazis is equally fatuous.)

Neither B.J. Lawson nor David Price has anything to do with the Nazis. Give it a rest.

I am for price if he introduces or votes to have my cell phone bill paid. It is extremely important to have a cell phone these days, not having one is bringing upon yourself a security threat and imagine a grandmother or your child stuck in the lonely road in the middle of the night without a cell phone because it costs money. Government really needs to provide us with cell phones and a minimum of 500 minutes talk time. While I am on the topic, government should also provide electricity and interet, both of which are EXTREMELY important. Imagine the same grandmother and your kids without electricity and internet....government needs spend and borrow more money...give it to people who are out of work or nothing looking for it...this is will lead properity!

@comoran - "The idea the the Nazis were leftist is not supported by any known historian". Guess you've not read von Mises, who spent a very long time looking at the issue. http://mises.org/daily/1937

@Michael - you're making the assumption that those good things wouldn't have happened without the support of the government. There is a huge profit motive behind all of those wonderful drugs. In the case of RTP, all the government did was agree to set aaide an area where they wouldn't interfere as much and look what happened.

I agree that Price is favored, mainly because of the makeup of this district. Durham has a larger than average population of middle class African-Americans and white liberals that form a coalition content to steal the tax dollars of our neighboring states and communities. The difference this year will be motivation -- whatever Price's supporters are, they aren't fired up. And there haven't been any real polls done because it's just assumed to be a safe district. Price is sitting on a lot of money and hasn't spent it.

Price claims that he's reached across the aisle but his voting record proves otherwise. He's scared and resorting to pathetic smear tactics. He is out of touch with the voters and continues to alienate them with his "I know best" attitude. Lawson is not anti-research - he's pro private funding for research, i.e. fewer taxes on businesses for reinvestment in research. Read his current blog post on his Web site where he praises the recently-announced Innovate@Carolina program at UNC-CH. The liberals just want a handout from the bankrupt government - that sounds much more "extreme" to me than anything that Lawson has said.

People in all countries take the credit loans in various banks, because this is simple.

Even if you are the only one who wants to save your troubled marriage you can do it alone once you know what you need to do. So, relax, take a deep breath and let's get started with some things you can do to get started on saving a troubled marriage.

I wants to get back on the direction of the Nineties, where several hundred thousand in debt was paid back. The united states must take a position by the guarantees it made in public protection.
