The rumors are true: "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor is coming to the Durham Performing Arts Center on May 9.
The Saturday night show will be broadcast live to public radio stations nationwide from the Bull City's downtown.
Tickets will go on sale on March 2, and are likely to sell out quickly. (An alternative: start donating to your local public radio station; a few hundred bucks and a sacrifice at the altar of Eric Hodge might help get better seats.)
Hat tip to Tanner Lovelace for the confirmation of the event.
I wonder if it will be easier to get the tickets online or to simply show up at the box office and pick them up. I'm thinking of doing the latter.
