No surprise here: as has been widely rumored and discussed before here at BCR, Michael Page has assumed the chairmanship of the Board of County Commissioners this morning, according to a brief at WRAL's web site. Former chair Ellen Reckhow will take the vice chair slot after six years' time chairing the board.
No word yet on whether Joe Bowser -- who brought some political intrigue forward with his interest in the chairmanship a couple of weeks ago -- got any votes (including his own) for the seat.
More on this later at BCR.
It was unanimous for Page for chair (Reckhow made the motion) and unanimous for Reckhow for vice chair). Didn't hear Bowser say a word.
