What's with the truncated posts now in the RSS feed? I use RSS specifically so I don't have to open 500 tabs, but if you're only posting a 2 line slug then it's largely worthless. Please reconsider.

Jeremy: I'm still trying to get TypePad and Feedburner to play nicely together. My plan is to have more than 2-line slugs in the RSS feed (I'm working on expanding it a bit more) but the feed likely will remain an excerpt feed with full content on the blog. This along with some other behind-the-scenes changes is in preparation for an upcoming site redesign among other things.

Well. An exciting football game with some nice people in "the box." :)

It must be said that things are looking up at Duke. The university has hired some new folks -- who are bringing fresh new perspectives to town-gown relations. Phail Wynn stands out among the new hires.

Duke is a bunch of silos. Some of these silos are showing remarkable improvement. When he came on board, Mike Schoenfeld said the first thing he would do is listen. He has -- and he's been responsive.

(At the same time, another big silo remains stuck in the "old school" woeful way of dealing with local government and community input.)

Time will tell -- and the spurs have certainly not been retired.

But, things are beginning to look up.

Tell us John, which camp is Bob Steele in? I cannot wait for Wachovia to follow Washington Mutual into another round of bloodletting and fire his sorry behind.

I'm as True Blue as it gets and am on a first name basis with many of the trustees, so I want to choose my words carefully so as not to come across as another LieStoppers nutcase. Brodhead can stay, but Bob has got to go. Bring back Spike Yoh!

Agreed on the silos looking up, however. The new head of OSAF (Greek life at Duke) is much better than we fraternity men had hoped. Dean Levi has settled nicely into Trinity Park and has the law school running much better than last year. Cutliffe's made definite improvements, and the new AD is head and shoulders above the past administration. Even Larry Moneta seems somehow mellower this fall (and after two raucous tailgates!).

Folks in OWD and TP should really be impressed with Brodhead's backing of the Amethyst Initiative. The "Animal House" of the late 1990s will not return no matter what the drinking age, but he's showed great courage in trying to get the University out of the nanny role.

According to my monitoring, millions of persons in the world receive the home loans at various banks. Thence, there is great possibilities to get a credit loan in all countries.
