Perhaps it's just the late hour, converging dangerously close until midnight, and my eyes are just playing tricks on me -- though Matt Dees at the N&O and Ray Gronberg from the H-S appear to have noticed the same thing.
At the start of the night, Patrick Baker came onto the dais sporting what appeared to be a full beard.
By a third of the way through the 10 pm hour, though, he returned to his seat at the mayor's right hand, complete with a cleanly-shaved face.
Folks, this night just keeps getting weirder. Photos to come.
Update: A City Councilman has just reminded the peanut gallery that this was Baker's "budget beard," which he grows every year and shaves after the ratification of the upcoming year's financial plan.
