Interested in living downtown, and want to see some of the condo units coming online in the heart of the Bull City? This weekend's your chance to see the interiors of two different downtown projects and check out what's available in the market.
First up, the Durham Kress is holding an open house tomorrow during downtown's Third Friday event; the three remaining Kress condo units will be open for viewing from 4 to 7 pm; keeping with the art theming of the night, the work of two local artists (Jonathan Schneider and Darius Quarles) will be on display Friday in the units. The broker for the remaining Kress units -- which are on display at the building's web site -- will also hold a more conventional open house this Sunday from 2 to 4 pm.
The last Kress units up for sale are on the pricier end of the project's range, running from $350,000 for a two-floor, 1,231 sq. ft. unit to a half-million dollar 1,850 sq. ft. space with an outdoor terrace.
Meanwhile, the Trinity Lofts condos in the old Cal-Tone Paints building at the corner of Trinity & Washington will hold an open house Friday from 4 to 7 pm as well. Trinity Lofts is a project of NYC architect Alex Washburn, who's since been appointed director of urban design for New York City's planning department. Two furnished/staged units will be available for showing, though most of the unsold units will be available for walkthroughs.
I believe (though not with certainty) that this is the first public open house for Trinity Lofts, though private tours through the listing agent have been available for some time, and several of the units are already sold and occupied.
Do they have any condos still on the market? I would be very interested to check them out!
