Got a reader tip on the following. I don't know if it's open to the general public or if there's any slots available, but I wanted to pass this along in case anyone out there in BCR-land wanted to try to get a spot on the tour:
Greenfire Development is leading a tour of downtown Durham and development sites, including the Durham Kress condo project and the Hill/CCB/SunTrust building, soon to become a boutique hotel. The tour leaves at 11am from the Kress Building, 101 W. Main Street, and is expected to run for one hour.
Advance RSVP is required by today by emailing Evelyn Contre of Greenfire. (See update below.)
If anyone out there goes (since many, yours truly included, may not be able to get away for this due to work commitments), I'd encourage you to please post any news or thoughts on what you see as a comment back to this thread.
Update: Got an email from Greenfire that the tour is, in fact, not open to the public. Future public tours may be offered, however.
