A quick reminder that the Carolina Theatre is having its big re-opening this Friday, Aug. 17. Besides just getting to enjoy a cool end to another hot week with the Carolina's rehabilitated air conditioning system, the first 500 patrons to arrive on Friday night get free admission to their choice of "Once," "Vitus," or Michael Moore's documentary "Sicko."
Free popcorn and soft drinks are also on tap for all customers, all night long. Folks at the Carolina are working on a bona fide ribbon cutting and some live entertainment may be in the works, too.
We've all missed the Carolina, so come out this Friday night and welcome her back in in style. (Besides, it's Third Friday, so you should already be downtown, right?)
you can actually go to the box office now and pick up the free passes for fri night. they started giving them away today at 11 AM. one person can pick up 1 or 2 tickets for either screening of any of the 3 movies for fri night. not sure if they'll have any left by fri night or not.

On Wednesday, there appeared to be about 200 who had already responded and picked up tix gratis! Can't wait for the double-billing myself. But, I hope many more bloggers here will have a chance to join in on the fun and pleasantries. For a moment ago, I thought we weren't going to make it after all since today, my wife tore through her pink finger with a nasty aversion. But tingling and numb as she may be, she wouldn't miss the re-opening for anything. Can't wait to potentially see other bloggers there. And thanks again for the posting the notification about its reopening. WhooHoo!
